Ellis Creek Mill site & the King Jarrah’s.

Located off the Balingup Rd on State Forest gravel roads.
This historic site is of significant regional importance. Ellis Creek was an early settlement working mill that operated between the years 1912 to 1925. Approximately 150 people lived at the Mill site.  Read more…

Margaret River Day Trip.

The Margaret River Region is recognised internationally as a tourism destination. we recommend a loop drive to save doubling back. Margaret River is a 40min drive.
Travel south out of town on the Brockman Highway to Karridale. Turn left if you wish to visit Augusta or go to the beach. Margaret River is to the north.

Nannup, Donnelly Mill & One Tree Bridge.

The Donnelly River Village, a historic settlement around a once thriving mill operation. This is now a low key tourism development with a real village atmosphere. One of the main features is the emus and kangaroos wandering the streets. One can only imagine the difficult lives the early settlers encountered whilst clearing and felling the surrounding forest.
