DINING

Restaurants and Cafes

There are several restaurants within walking distance of Holberry House.

The Nannup Bridge Cafe is open 6 days, closed on Tuesdays and offer takeaway.
It is BYO or licensed for wine and beer.

The Tiny Tea shop a specialist tea shop that offers over 50 varieties of loose leave tea and tea blends.

Melo Velo is open daily from 7am – 3pm and serves quality healthy meals and has great coffee.

The Café Blackwood is open each day and offers light meals and takeaways. They are open Wednesday evenings for a Pasta and Burger night.

The hotel offers counter meals daily from 12 noon to 2pm and 6pm to 8pm.

Pickle & O are open daily for lunch. They offer quality healthy food options.

The Caltex Petrol Station are open daily and make amazing burgers.

On Thursday evenings they cater for take away Chinese.

‘Louise’s Kitchen’ Fish & Chips is open daily from 11.30am to 2pm and from 5pm onwards. They close on Monday and Wednesdays if it is quiet.

On Tuesday evening’s a “Community Kitchen” is open at the Bowling Club 5-6.30pm.

The cost is $5 per person and the food is healthy and wholesome.

FISHING

A licence is required for both trout and marron fishing, Please follow the required regulations. Bring your rod as there are no rods available for hire in Nannup.

The B.P. Garage in Pemberton has a good selection of lures and tackle available.

A 4 wheel drive tour may be arranged for those of you who wish to go off road to some of the more inaccessible beaches.

COASTAL

INLAND
Trout – By boat from Boat Landing Road on the Donnelly River, Warren River, big am, where Heart Break Trail hits the Warren River. Blackwood River and Fly Brook.
From the Vasse Highway turn right into Black Point Road, approximately 6kms along the road you will come to a bridge with good fishing pools. To gain access to the mouth of the Warren you will require a 4-wheel drive. Pemberton Discovery Tours does a tag-along to get you there, or they have the gear to take you out for an afternoon or days fishing. You can book this through the Nannup Visitor Service.
If you would definitely like to catch a trout for dinner visit King Trout near Pemberton. If you have your own rod, take it with you. Remember – what you catch is what you pay for…and King Trout make it easy to catch… If you wish King Trout will even cook what you catch. Whilst at king Trout enjoy one of their lovely mouth watering marron or trout meals or scrumptious morning teas. This is very good value and large sized meals.

Open season for trout is from 1st September to 30th April. From 1st May to the 31st August trout fishing is only permitted in the main rivers or from the commercial trout farms. Trout are most difficult to catch in January, February and March when the water is warm. Best spots are fast moving water below rapids. Mind you some of the largest trout caught in the Donnelly River are actually caught during these months.

Salmon – from Jasper beach, mouth of the Donnelly River, Salmon Beach, Black Point and Windy Harbour.

The marron season is very short, a licence is essential and due to overfishing, stocks are very depleted.
In lieu we recommend the following for a good feed of marron: Carlotta Crustacean on the Vasse Highway (10 mins from town). Purchase fresh marron ready to take home.
